SSAS Venue Description for coordinators
The Clifton Park Senior Center, Clifton Park, NY Contact: Pat Wade meridian1@nycap.rr.com Venue Address: 6 Clifton Common Court, Clifton Park, NY 12065 Number of works that can be installed: 30 medium sizes Length of Show: one month Labels: No labels on the walls. Labels can be taped to the back of the work including – Title, Medium, Price, Artist contact info. Instead of labels you can put a list of titles, mediums, prices. And contact info in a frame to be hung with the art work. Don’t forget to number your works and include the number in the price list. Senior Center newsletter: Each artist is to send Raina a short artist statement (3-5 sentences) about their art work so that she can run an ad in their monthly newsletter. She needs it by the 15th of the previous month of your show. Send it to Raina at rmunafo@cliftonpark.org . Newspaper Ads: Each artist is to send Pat Wade the same info letting her know about your show including the gallery your showing at by the 15th of the previous month Installation and take down: Check with Pat for dates and times. Usually they happen at the end of the month between 4 – 5 PM. Depending on the sizes Length of shows: two months Labels: Prepare an Artist statement about you and your show that they will display in a plastic frame. Make labels for each work taped to the back of the work including: Title, medium, Price, and artist contact info. Option: you can print out a price list of your works with titles and prices but you will need to number each work and number each work in your price list that can be put in their provided plastic frame next to your artist statement. Saratoga Arts 10” x 10” exhibit which runs from June 29 to September 7. Stop in and see this exhibit! ✢ Join other artists at upcoming informal monthly pop-up style events designed to attract the restaurant crowd and art lovers who visit Beekman Street. This is not like the big fair (the street is not closed). They will be using porches, front yards and side yards. Simple displays are best. There is no charge or commission. We also welcome plein air painters to set up along the street. 5:30 - 8pm. Please call Cecilia, Textile Studio at 518-583-2129 for more information.
