I am owner of Ragged Edge Printmaking Studio in Cohoes, and a member of the Oakroom Artists. What is Zentangle?
An easy to learn, relaxing way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. What can Zentangle do for you?
Help you relax, reduce stress, increase focus, develop creativity, gain confidence, increase awareness, learn a new skill, meditate using art, unlock a hidden talent, and more!
Who can do Zentangle?
Just about anyone can learn the Zentangle Method of drawing. If you can write your name, you can learn Zentangle. If you are someone who never thought you could create beautiful art then come explore The Zentangle Method and you will discover that “Anything is possible, one stroke at a time”. Your Instructor: I have a background in IT but consider myself a lifelong artist dabbling in just about every medium imaginable. My mom always had my sister and I doing something crafty from macrame to ceramics to toll painting. I love color and have always been the type to use every crayon in the box. A friend recently said to me, “If they didn’t want you to, why would they make a box of 72?” I’m working on a limited palette, but nobody’s perfect… I started practicing Zentangle in 2014, became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) in 2016 and have met people from almost every country in the world through this artform. For the past few years, I have been incorporating Zentangle with bookbinding and mixed media to bring new dimension to my work. If I’m doing something creative, I’m happy and if I get to share it with others, even better. 2024 marks 20 years of The Zentangle Method. Check it out at zentangle.com.
