ROBERTA MOSES
Roberta Moses, is a longtime resident of Saratoga County, New York, discovered her love of drawing and painting at a very early age. For four years she traveled from Brooklyn to a Manhattan High School because it specialized in art.
Ms. Moses attended Pratt Institute and Fashion Institute of Technology while working in a Manhattan Advertising agency. Shortly after she accepted the position of Fashion Coordinator, she traded it in for the job of wife and house manager, and then mother.
Not until the children were grown up, did she pursue her passion for the fine arts.
In recent years, Roberta has attended several art classes and workshops and is a member of the Colonie Arts League, the Southern Saratoga County Artists’ Society and the Saratoga County Arts Council.
Roberta (as she signs her paintings) prefers to work in watercolor, Chinese Brush Painting and Pen and Ink. Recently she also enjoyed working in oils.
Ms. Moses has had “one woman” shows throughout the Capital District and California, and has displayed her paintings at numerous exhibits. These include the Schenectady Museum Art Expo, the Colonie, Shenendehowa and Burnt Hills Libraries, Colonie Town Hall, Vanguard Show House, Benedict Health Center, Wesley and Deitchers Art Galleries and now, the “Local Color” Art Gallery.
Amongst the many awards Roberta has received, her favorite is for “The Jonesville Country Store”, which was purchased by the Town of Clifton Park and hangs in the Town Hall.
