KRISTINE KELLY
I have been painting for many years and it has now become my full-time endeavor. I have studied with several instructors at the Woodstock School of Art. I exhibit my abstract expressionist paintings locally in various venues. My artwork is also found in private collections in the Northeast. In my art work I use color, line, shape, texture and gestural strokes to evoke emotions. My paintings are memories of time and space; land and water; longing and finding; and vulnerability and strength. Before I turned to painting full time, I received a doctor of philosophy degree. I had a career for many years in the field of environmental conservation as well as academia.
In addition to painting, I like to golf and walk along local nature trails. However, my main focus and joy is abstract expressionism.
