Artist Bio
Eva Marie Loucks is an artist who lives and works in Saratoga County. She has worked for the past 28 years as a graphic designer, and a small business artist. Loucks’ artwork has been on display at various public venues, including RPI, HVCC, public libraries, and outdoor venues. She has participated in many juried shows. Originally intrigued by architectural design, Loucks turned to printmaking, advertising and graphic design with a degree from The College of St. Rose. The Saratoga area and traveling are a big part of Eva’s life. Her art captures the fast-paced action and splendor of Saratoga. Beautiful images come to life in vibrant color. Loucks draws on similar color choices as Matisse and Chagall. Many of her inspirations come from her travels throughout the US, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Her most recent works have been inspired by her pilgrimages to Medjugorje. She has also venture into self-publishing. Medjuorje, A Personal Journey in Photography and Illustration, is a compilation of her work combined with inspiring messages. Eva is pursuing illustration of Children’s picture books. She currently enjoys teaching art classes at Malta Community Center. A member of SCWBI, Saratoga Arts, Southern Saratoga Artists Society. Her work can be viewed at evamarieloucks.com.
